The holiday season is here! Hence, the weight gaining season is here! Miraculously, when I went home for Thanksgiving, I didn't gain any weight. For the sad news, I didn't lost any either. I am still at 125.8. I can't complain, though. I didn't get to the gym once last week. Between the drive home, and (being honest) me being lazy, I didn't make or find the time to go. I'm starting to lose motivation. Having to drive to the gym takes a lot more work than I thought it would.
The good news is that I'm starting to eat better. I have found a lot of good recipes on Pinterest. If you don't follow me on Pinterest, my website is http://pinterest.com/alannaweber/. I make my own homemade protein balls, and they taste almost exactly like a no-bake cookie! I also eat whole wheat pasta, lots of salads, and eggs and toast. Oh, can't forget veggies and greek yogurt! I am making changes, but I know I have to make changes in the kitchen and in the gym. Anyone have any motivational tips?
Enjoy the holidays, even though Christmas should not be mentioned until December 15th :)

I Hate Lack of Motivation
Weeks like this one that make it hard for me to get back in the gym. I met with my trainer (who gave me a free session. Love you Mary!) and she ran me through a workout I should have had no problems doing. Sadly, I had trouble doing 7x7x7 curls with 10 pounds. I used to be able to do curls with 25 pounds. What happened?
I know what happened. I got lazy and stopped lifting weights. One thing I have learned about Weber's and our genes...we can put on muscle very quickly. For someone who is trying to lose inches, muscle is not necessarily the best thing in the world. Of course I need muscle, but I was hoping to burn more fat before I began to add muscle.
The circuits that I am currently doing require minimal weight training. Everything the circuits call for can be done with 10 pound dumbbells or less. Some exercises that I do are dumbbell flys, curls, squats, bridges, bicycles, v-tucks, etc. All of these exercises, although good exercises, don't provide me with enough weight training. Now it's figuring out whether I edit my workouts and just add more weight, or if I choose a new workout plan all together. Anyone?
